Carolines Cars sponsors Race for Life Norwich 2011 in conjunction with with Heart FM
When Heart radio approached me and asked if we would like to be involved with them in sponsoring race for life we thought it was a great idea. They were particularly keen for us to be involved because of the pink theme, our female mechanics and our female friendly approach to running a garage.
Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK. Since 1994, women of all ages and fitness levels across the UK have come together at these inspiring events to walk, jog or run to help beat cancer. Some Race for Life women take part in celebration of surviving a cancer experience. Others take part in memory of a loved one or to give hope to a cancer-free future. But all of them share a common goal: to raise money for Cancer Research UK's groundbreaking work and to help save more lives. We will be accompanying Heart Radio in their Al Fresco Zone at the event on 14th and 15th May.
We were proud to support the Race for Life this year, in conjunction with Heart Radio and Cancer Research UK. The event was held at the Norfolk Showground and nearly 10,000 women walked, jogged or ran the 5K or 10K courses, over the two day period. The atmosphere was amazing and we heard some incredible stories of determination and tenacity, as well as some tales of tragedy. We loved it so much; we're already booked up to help out again next year. Check out the pictures below, Penelope the pink car was a particularly popular item!
